These were fairly quick planning exercises meant to explore options for greenfield station area development along a few locations of a planned new transit line. This particular site was on land slated for a train maintenance yard, but the train movements would be seldom and infrequent. The long distances needed to accommodate grade changes and the large turning radii of the trains meant the yard was a rather large piece of land in the middle of the city, with land at the center that could potentially be developed. Various ideas were proposed, such as a business hotel connected to an office complex with an adjacent conference/exhibition center and parking behind.
